Darsana Capital Partners needed a way to evaluate retail expansion and investment opportunities consistently across multiple markets. Each potential site required answers to fundamental questions:

We integrated competitor data to map nearby retail locations and calculate proximity within defined trade areas, delivering a clear view of market saturation and competitive overlap.

We combined client-provided and third-party datasets into a unified analytical framework, delivering interactive maps and visualizations that make findings easy to explore and share across stakeholders.

From Analysis to Action: Supporting Strategic Decisions

The analysis identified 157 greenfield expansion opportunities and 57 infill opportunities nationwide, giving Darsana a defensible, repeatable framework for evaluating retail investments. These opportunities represented markets that met defined demographic, household, and competitive thresholds, helping Darsana prioritize locations that warranted further investment evaluation and strategic consideration. The resulting datasets, maps, and analytical outputs streamlined market evaluation and provided a foundation that can be reused and expanded as investment priorities evolve.
